The words wabi and sabi do not translate easily. Wabi originally referred to the loneliness of living in nature, remote from society; sabi meant "chill", "lean" or "withered". Wabi-Sabi is sometimes described as one of beauty that is "imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete".
